Da-svee-dah-nya To The Russian Rugby Team

The Russian Rugby Team left Marlborough on Monday lunch time after an amazing 12 days in the region. The highest compliment was paid by the team when they arrived back to Marlborough from their game in New Plymouth and they declared that they were ‘home’.
Some of their most notable parts of their stay included; the huge number of people that turned out to the Airport Welcome, the Public clapping for them when they ran out for their first training, climbing over the planes at Omaka Aviation after the Capping Ceremony, being chased by the nutty Alpaca at Lochmara, seeing dolphins on multiple trips to the Sounds, the Haka by Blenheim School and the children chanting Rahs-sia Rahs-sia at trainings.
Marlborough has been a fantastic host and provided the Russian Rugby Team with memories they won’t forget. To everyone that has been involved a huge thank-you we couldn’t have done it without you!
