Join in this great event and support Outward Bound !
The Kathmandu Adventure Series is designed for everyone – whether you are a beginner or a seasoned adventurer. This is the inaugural race at Anakiwa and we're hoping for a great turnout. You'll race on a custom designed course that incorporates mountain biking, kayaking, trail running and simple navigation, throughout the stunning scenery of the Marlborough Sounds. It is a teams' event in pairs, so find a buddy and make it happen. The race commences on Saturday morning at 9am and is approximately 3-6 hours in duration.
Former Outward Bound instructor (now curriculum manager) Dan Moore is a Coast to Coast competitor and an experienced adventure racer who has advised on the course design for the Anakiwa event.
"This 1-day event will suit a wide range of participants and at the same time be challenging for everyone. It's a bit like Outward Bound itself – anyone can do it – and also, you don't find out until you get there what the course will be. So in our 50th year, with the support of Kathmandu, we're looking forward to a great race."
Go for it! Register for the 31 March, 2012 race today!
